RED ROOSTER INDUSTRIAL ACHIEVES BS OHSAS 18001 CERTIFICATION
Red Rooster Industrial UK Ltd has been awarded certification to the occupational health and safety management system BS OHSAS 18001 by BSI.
Through implementation of the health and safety management systems standard, RRI UK board have confirmed their commitment to their workforce to promote a safe and healthy working environment. BS OHSAS 18001 provides a framework that allows RRI UK to consistently identify and control health and safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, aid legislative compliance, and improve overall performance.
Already we have seen the benefit of the professional and helpful assistance given us by BSI during the lead up to gaining certification. This has shown itself in many ways such as the simplifying of both our quality and OHSAS systems, compliance with legislation and the protection of our workforce. When we started out to improve our Health and Safety systems, with the assistance of our consultants Ketba, it was to meet industry requirement but the benefits found during the process quickly showed the further advantages certification would give us.
The success of the company is due to the range of quality air hoists, winches, and load measuring equipment RRI UK have available for hire and sale along with fully trained staff who can repair and inspect all makes of equipment. With our design and manufacturing base in Oldmeldrum Aberdeenshire, a depot in West Bromwich, and Red Rooster Stavanger we can ensure a rapid response to enquiries and meeting our customer’s requirements.
In the lifting equipment industry safety has to come first, BS OHSAS 18001 certification from BSI will only help to further improve the excellent reputation of Red Rooster Industrial.

BRAND NEW 50t Calibration Machine
Red Rooster introduces calibration service to West Bromwich Depot.As part of their commitment to growth Red Rooster Industrial U.K. Limited announces the introduction of a brand new 50 tonne capacity calibration machine within their West Midlands centre.
All calibration work (up to 400 tonne capacity) had previously been carried out within the main Aberdeenshire premises. The new calibration machine will allow the West Bromwich centre to offer customers competitive prices plus improved delivery on calibration work up to and including 50 tonne capacity. Calibrations over 50 tonne and up to the maximum of 400 tonne will continue to be carried out at the main testing facility based in Aberdeenshire.
Red Rooster is prepared to discuss discounted contractual pricing structures with companies, within England and Wales, having a large annual re-calibration requirement.

Red Rooster Industrial (UK) Limited 20th Anniversary
Red Rooster Industrial (UK) Limited recently held their 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner at the Meldrum House Hotel, Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire.
Formed in late 1988 as Steve Wright Lifting Limited, the company was initially based in the Altens area of Aberdeen. In September 1989 the company relocated to Oldmeldrum and commenced building the original factory. Since then the acquisition of all the available land has enabled the company to grow in size and prosperity and with the help of the internet is now known around the world.
In June 2006 the company changed its name to Red Rooster Industrial (UK) Ltd. The company now has Managing Director Bill Aitken at its helm, ably assisted by Engineering Director Steve Wright, Financial Director Margaret Gibb and Sales & Marketing Director John Evans. The company owes its success to its long held principle of quality and service, together with the dedication of its staff and long term suppliers.
In order to improve its service to customers in the south of the U.K. a branch office was opened in 2007 in West Bromwich. This new venture has already made a significant contribution to the company’s overall profits.
John Evans stated – “The success of the company has been mainly due to the decision to sell, hire and repair a selective range of quality products at competitive prices plus ensuring customers are given a rapid response to all enquiries.
Expansion beyond the Aberdeen area has been achieved by the partnerships formed with other lifting equipment companies throughout the U.K. and we wish to extend our thanks to each and every one of them for their past and future support. We have now successfully traded for twenty years with continued growth and with the help of our lifting equipment trade outlet partners and long term suppliers we intend to do so for the next twenty years and beyond”.

New HIGH SPEED Air Hoist

The New TCS-500 high-speed air hoist is the latest addition to the Red Rooster range of hoists. From the requests of our customers we have developed a high speed / low weight hoist built around the successful design of the TCR-250 hoist.
Weighing less than 16 KG the single fall 500 KG compact hoist has a closed height of only 410MM and can lift at 17 m/min full load and 43 m/min unloaded. The new speed adjustment screws allow the lifting and lowering speeds to be adjusted independently of each other.
In standard form the TCS air hoist can be supplied with either cord control or a shock proof polycarbonate pendant control with infinitely variable speed control gives superb control for accurate positioning. The exhaust air can easily be piped away from the working area by connecting to the exhaust silencer.
The TCS hoist can be supplied either hook suspension or built into our range of push, geared, or pneumatic trolleys. Top and bottom hooks are carbon steel with safety latches and swivels. Mechanical paddle action limits provide a positive stop for the upper and lower limits. Comes complete with a chain collector for up to 5 metre HOL.

Red Rooster Industrial (UK) Ltd of Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire have expanded their operation by the opening of a new branch in the West Midlands and are pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Palmer as Depot Manager.
The new branch, situated at Unit 36, Kelvin Way Trading Estate, Kelvin Way, West Bromwich, West Midlands B70 7TP has been opened to provide a service for their customers located in the southern part of Britain. Its location adjacent to the M6 and M5 motorways, with links to the M1, M42 and M40 motorways ensures easy access to most of England and Wales.
